What can I change after receiving a Vibay prototype?

Use the delivered hardware and test code to explore new responses, connect functions or refine an interaction. For example, changing the response to an existing button is a software experiment when the required hardware is already present. Adding a new sensor can also require electronics and enclosure work.

This is the practical purpose of the VibeKit handoff: continue from a tested hardware baseline, with files you can inspect and modify. The changes available depend on your prototype’s components and agreed development workflow.

What do I receive with the prototype?

Both published build packages include a tested, programmable prototype, 3D design files, module test source code and VibeKit. Your project scope should identify the delivered hardware functions and the files needed to continue development.

How should I approach an AI-assisted software change?

  1. Define one observable change, such as how the product responds to an input.

  2. Give your coding tool the relevant test code and the actual hardware context.

  3. Review the proposed change and apply it through the workflow agreed for your prototype.

  4. Test the behavior on the real hardware, including the expected inputs and error cases.

Can this help with an AI-enabled hardware product?

VibeKit supports using AI coding tools to develop software for a programmable prototype. An AI-enabled product may also need a model integration, audio or visual processing, a network service, an interface and additional testing. Those features must be specified in the product requirements.

Is a mobile app or cloud service included?

Finished mobile apps, cloud services and complete product firmware are not automatically included with VibeKit. The standard hardware handoff includes module test source code. Specify any finished software you want Vibay to deliver and which features you plan to build after receiving the prototype.

Before commissioning a build, agree the demonstration and acceptance criteria, the exact source files and development workflow, and responsibility for any external services or integrations. This keeps the hardware and software handoff clear.

Which build package includes VibeKit?

VibeKit is included with both Vibay packages. Creator Build starts at US$4,699 for one assembled, programmable prototype. Founder Build starts at US$7,699 for four prototypes of one product, adding custom PCB work and manufacturing handoff support in China.

Each project receives its own scope and quote. Typical builds take 45–60 days after design approval, with timing affected by requirements, component availability, fabrication, testing and revisions.
